Beatrice Dela Pena, Geico

Beatrice Dela Pena is a Senior Director at Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) with responsibility for GEICO’s countrywide Spanish operations. Prior to assuming her current role, Dela Pena served as assistant vice president of underwriting for the state of Florida, and previously assistant vice president of GEICO’s Local Office operations.

Dela Pena joined GEICO in 2002 as a sales counselor in San Diego, where she advanced through supervisory and management positions. In 2013, she relocated to the company’s corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland, for a new role as sales process coordinator.

In 2016, Dela Pena joined GEICO’s Centralized Services team at the company’s Macon, Georgia, office, where she served as a director with oversight responsibility for emergency roadside service, glass and accident tow claims. After two years in Macon, she moved back to San Diego as a regional sales director before becoming assistant vice president.

Dela Pena holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting) from California State University San Marcos, an executive MBA from Auburn University, and has earned the following professional certifications: Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), associates in Personal Insurance (API), and associates in general insurance.

Dela Pena currently serves on the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Board’s executive committee and is in Leadership Lakeland class 40. She has resided in Lakeland since 2021 with her husband Jessie and two daughters, Olivia, and Ava.
