David Robinson, DSM Technology
David Robinson is a technology visionary and entrepreneur whose first love is incubating businesses. Following his dream 28+ years ago, David founded his first business, DSM, which has evolved into a leading data center network and technology consulting firm based in central Florida. DSM is the incubator that allows David the flexibility to nurture, fund and sell other technology start-ups. These ventures have taken him to six continents.
David has served in various roles to diverse organizations both nationally and internationally, from healthcare to network security. David has served as C-Level positions in startups, public and private companies ranging from Phoenix Healthcare, Woodrow Milliman, Deloitte and as well as a CIO/CTO of a NASDAQ listed healthcare company. In 2013 David exited Intelimedix, a big data healthcare play he co-founded in 2006, to an organization owned by all the National Blue Cross Blue Shield plans (BHI).
David’s success is largely based upon his ability to quickly view a situation from 360º. Whether he is aligning IT with business objectives, developing large scale decision support systems for the healthcare industry or creating strategic technology visions, David is always focused on end results. He is also integrally involved with a variety of projects dedicated to driving innovation in Florida for a sustainable future.
Educated both abroad and at University of South Florida, David calls Lakeland, Florida home with his wife, Shelley and two children ages 10 and 5. In his spare time, David enjoys traveling, racquetball, boating and driving anything fast.
