Lakeland Vision’s Community Unity Committee will meet on Wednesday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom. The Community Unity Committee is led by Chairman Rick Maxey. The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom. The board will be approving board members for the 2022-2020 term, approving the 2022 budget proposal and each LV committee will provide mid-year updates on their work. This will be the final board meeting for 2021.
There will be no board meeting in January. Meetings will resume in February with the first meeting of 2022 taking place on Thursday, February 3rd.
Committees allow us to deep dive into particular parts of the community Vision in order to monitor, convene conversations and help fill in gaps. Lakeland Vision’s 2021-2022 committees are as follows:

The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will not be meeting on Thursday, November 4th to allow for all LV committees to come together and focus on their year end goals. The full board will return for a meeting on December 2nd at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom.
The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom. The board will vote on the 2021-2022 Nominating Committee members, discuss changes to the Listen Lakeland Show with new production manager, Andrew Gash, and receive an update on the fundraising effort/goal.
The next Lakeland Vision Board Meeting will take place on Thursday, November 4th. The board meets on the first Thursday of every month (with the exception of January and July).
Lakeland Vision’s Age Friendly Lakeland Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, August 25th at 11:00 a.m. Committee members will meet virtually via Zoom. Through collaboration with non-profit and for-profit organizations, Age Friendly Lakeland maximizes opportunities for seniors to be active, healthy, and engaged with their neighbors by connecting them with resources, each other, and their community. With an emphasis on promoting inclusive livability, Age Friendly Lakeland offers guidance as to available programs, community outreach, and a Senior Brain Trust.
The Lakeland Vision Board of Directors will hold their monthly board meeting on June 3, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom. In addition to regular business, the board will review the outcomes of the 2021 annual board retreat that was held on May 6th. The outcomes will review the new priorities for the 2021-2022 year. The priorities will come with action items for Lakeland Vision committees to take on over the next 12 months.
There is no board meeting the month of July. The board returns on August 5th.
