Lakeland Pig Festival

The Lakeland Pig Festival is an annual Florida State Barbecue Championship that is organized by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland. It is a 501(c)(3) organization, with profits going to charitable organizations. (This year's recipient is Girls, Inc.) What started as a small festival in 1997 has evolved into a festival with over 300 BBQ teams and over 30,000 in attendance, and is growing rapidly each year.
Brewz Crewz Craft Beer Festival

Downtown Lakeland will be host to Polk County’s premier craft beer festival, Brewz Crewz. This event will feature 50+ craft beers with local eateries serving samples of their great food. Live music will complete this full-filled night. The event will support ElderPoint Ministries so attendees are asked (not required) to bring a donation of $5 worth of nonperishable food items OR a Publix gift card. Brewz Crewz organizers were guests on the February edition of Listen Lakeland so tune in to hear more.

Wine Festival of Central Florida

Lake Mirror Promenade
Enjoy a fabulous evening under the stars on the beautiful Lake Mirror Promenade at the Wine Festival of Central Florida. With over 100 wines, spirits and microbrews and samplings from local chefs and restaurants, this is a premier event. All net proceeds from this event will benefit Alliance for Independence.

First Friday is a free monthly celebration in Downtown Lakeland. Streets are closed and businesses usually stay open later. Every First Friday has a theme so check out the Downtown Lakeland Partnership’s website for details.
